DARRYLL G. DeCotis, Sr., CPP®, is the Town of Navassa (NC) Chief of Police. He is a US Marine Corps veteran and served as a Military Policeman in several different duty stations including abroad. Darryll has an extensive background in law enforcement as well as corporate security, including Cary Police and in the financial industry with Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. He is a General & Specialized (Firearms) Law Enforcement Instructor, recipient of the Traffic Enforcement & Investigation Certificate from the North Carolina Justice Academy, and also holds an Advanced Law Enforcement Certification from North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. He holds a master’s degree from Boston University in Criminal Justice. Darryll is board certified in security management and he wholeheartedly believes that the good you do today might get quickly forgotten but the impact of what you do will never disappear.

Stephen P. Perkins, CPP®, PCI®, PMP®, is the U.S. Army Forces Command Deputy Director for Intelligence and Security and is the Chapter Treasurer for the Greater Fayetteville, NC Chapter of ASIS International. He started his military career as an Infantry officer before transferring to the Military Intelligence Corps with a Counterintelligence specialty. In addition to an M.P.A from Auburn University, Montgomery, he is a graduate of the US Army War College (Class of 2001) master’s program. Following a tour in Iraq in 2006 and Army retirement, Steve became a program manager with L-3 Communications and earned his PMP® certification in 2010. Joining the Army civilian service, he continued to pursue educational opportunities as well as championing industry and DoD certifications. Steve attained the CPP® in 2014 and the ASIS triple crown in 2020. He earned his Army Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in 2017 and all six DoD security certifications from 2018-2020.
